A Website Rebuild Tailored for Future Growth
EBM Insurance and Risk are one of Australia’s leading privately owned and operated insurance brokers. Established in 1975, their head office is based in West Perth with a further 8 offices across Australia.
Distl had worked with an EBM team member in 2016 when building a website for their former employer. As a result of the positive experience, Distl were recommended and fortunate to be selected to build the new EBM Insurance and Risk website.
When we started discussing the new project, business was strong however the existing website didn’t reflect EBM Insurance and Risk’s vision for the future or their refreshed brand image. The site didn’t effectively tell their story or communicate their value proposition.
Further to this, the team expressed a desire to enhance the user experience, technology platform as well as address a number of technical, functional and UX issues. As an insurance company the site security was paramount.
The SEO Foundation
With such a high volume of content and possible navigational complexity it was crucial that we start with a well-considered SEO foundation. The resulting structure not only underpinned ranking performance, but ensured we have an intuitive site structure both for the search engines and its users.
A Forward Thinking Design
A significant amount of up-front planning went into each of the website stages. The pre-emptive planning and clear objectives ensured we understood the UX priorities, design inspiration and functional requirements.
As the site contained a high volume of diverse content, it was imperative to present a seamlessly intuitive navigation and browsing experience for a range of audience demographics.
We avoided the use of trendy bells and whistles in favour of ensuring the site naturally and intuitively guided its users all the while building trust and making relevant information easy to find and consume.
Longer Sessions and Highly Qualified Leads
The new structure and design have contributed to a significantly improved user experience and online engagement. This has resulted in visitors staying on the site for longer, engaging with the content, and leading to more relevant queries coming through to EBM Insurance’s brokers.
