TEC Services had strong growth targets and to accelerate that a brand identity that was professional, modern and consistent was required. TEC Services wanted to position itself as the market leader in the Pilbara region and number one choice for quality end-to-end turnkey solutions for commercial and industrial construction works in target market regions.

TEC Services wanted to build strong brand associations around being a trusted, highly experienced, relationship focused, values-led local service provider with a full team of in-house trades and specialists that are highly skilled, responsive, accountable and easily mobilised to any region in WA.

Additionally, TEC Services wanted to be seen as an employer of choice that’s inclusive and one that values diversity, the environment and sustainability.

We undertook a comprehensive growth marketing strategy, channel plan and full brand identity development, which included brand identity concepting, brand theming creation, the development of a comprehensive style guide and the provision of the master logo suite.

Given TEC Services’ strong existing brand equity, maintaining their recognisable red and grey colour palette was essential to preserve brand recognition during the transition.

A Three-Part Design Process

1. Brand Concepting

After our strategy team briefed the design team, our senior designer explored concepts that positioned TEC Services as professional, contemporary, and innovative. Three distinct concepts were presented to the executive team, who quickly approved their preferred direction.

2. Brand Theming Development

Following concept approval, we evolved the brand further with comprehensive theming that included:

  • Graphical devices and brand applications
  • Touchpoint exploration across uniforms, company vehicles, and capability statements
  • Collateral samples including business cards, signage, and marketing materials

3. Style Guide and Logo Suite Creation

The final phase delivered a comprehensive brand style guide and complete master logo suite for consistent application across all channels.

Our new brand tagline, “Built Locally. Built Better,” perfectly encapsulates TEC Services’ established Pilbara presence and their commitment to superior turnkey construction solutions.

Typography and Visual Identity

We selected contemporary, bold typography that appeals to TEC Services’ diverse customer base while maintaining corporate professionalism.

A colour palette that maintained brand recognition

Preserving the recognisable red and grey palette was crucial for brand continuity. Combined with modern typography and sophisticated graphical elements, including distinctive wave textures, these elements repositioned the brand as a contemporary industry leader.
